YAY! We actually got onto the plane without a hitch, although the customs guy was a bit shocked because everyone in customs was crying. “why are you all crying?” he exclaimed, “aren’t you supposed to be happy?”. “Yeah, I’m going on a holiday,” I sobbed.
The plane trip was awesome, although it was smaller than I thought. When we got on the plane, the hostess offered us hot towels with some tweezers. We took them, but didn’t know what to do with them so we had to spy on the other passengers and then act like we KNEW they were to wipe down our face and hands.
The food was awesome. I LOVE aeroplane food! I managed to have mushroom in every single meal from the start to end. Mushroom ravioli, Mushroom tortellini, mushrooms and omelette, and a mushroom omelette panini! Yay!
As we landed in Kuala Lumpur, a message came over the PA, warning that in Malaysia, drug trafficking carries a mandatory death penalty. Once we got off, we scuttled to an internet kiosk and sent some emails, cos we knew we had about 40 mins before we had to board our flight. I happened to wander past a departures TV and see LONDON - FINAL CALL flashing up. Eeek! So we bolted and got onto the plane just in time.
Thirteen hours on a plane is NOT fun. I sulked half the way cos I couldn’t sleep, but then I cheered up because I kicked Thad’s butt in Battleships (THREE TIMES!) and checkers. We arrived in Heathrow at 5 am and waited the four hours before getting onto our plane to Dublin. The flight to Dublin was only 40 minutes or so, it was great. We were barely in the air before we were heading back down again.

woo aeroplane!
